Accessibility

MyEventOS is for everyone who hosts a celebration and everyone they invite. We want the site, the builder and every invitation to work for people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or magnification, and for people with low vision, colour blindness, or differences in movement or attention.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard behind the European accessibility standard EN 301 549. The site has not been audited independently yet, so this page says what we do and what we know is still missing, rather than claiming full conformance.

What is in place

  • Every page of the site opens with a link to skip straight past the menu to its content.
  • Menus, windows and forms are built on components made for keyboards and screen readers.
  • A guest's reply is a regular web form, apart from the artwork of the invitation.

What is not there yet

  • Invitation designs are artwork. Some set words in script typefaces or over pictures, which can be hard to read with low vision, and the colours a host chooses are not checked for contrast.
  • Photos a host uploads are not described to screen readers.
  • Some invitation effects, like scratching to reveal the date or swiping through a story, are made for touch and a mouse, and can be hard to use with a keyboard.
  • Some invitations play music and short films as they open.
  • The builder, where hosts design an invitation, is a visual editor and is hard to use without sight.

Tell us

If something on MyEventOS is hard for you to use, write to support@myeventos.com with the page and what happened. We will reply within five working days and, where we can, help another way: for a guest, the invitation's details and the questions as plain text in an email; for a host, help setting the invitation up.

This statement was prepared on 8 October 2026 and is reviewed whenever the site changes in a way that affects it.
